If it only took 3 years @ $5,000,000 per to sign Ryan O'Reilly he'd be staying with St Louis. He's not signing that low ball offer.

ROR 2 years ago, 100% correct

ROR today... youd be getting a 32 year old center, who in 29 games has 15 points and is a -21 on the year

Buffalo or not, the absolute most he gets now is 6 mill. He has dropped off substantially

I get the argument, and yeah I dont think he comes back. But pretty much everything is different, and as i said, cole beasley back with the bills shows anything is possible lol. I get your point, but even he noted those comments were blown outta proportion and it was an emotional end of year presser. Crazy **** gets said at those

I think there would be teams out there offering him 4 years $24 million i agree that's probably the best he'll get.

Agreed. I mean blues are a mess this year so that doesnt help his +/- , and its just a flawed stat, but none the less 6 mill would be the max id say. Sabres offer that but as I said in the description, i doubt he comes back.

Bringing back ROR is something I've thought about as well. I don't think he would do it for reasons stated already, but to fill a 3rd line center role and if it didn't cost a crazy amount, I think it makes sense.

Such a weird feeling knowing we have 1C and 2C already. When 3C is our biggest concern on the offensive side, it is a strange feeling.
