Description

I'm sure it's going to take a lot to get Horvat, but a scoring center to take over 2C would makes this team incredibly tough, especially with Pacs getting closer to returning. KK is just not ready and I think he's more of a replacement for Staal if he leaves or retires. One of Stepan or Stastny have to go to make cap space.

This needs to be laid to rest with the Pesce and Nylander trades. Horvat isn’t a Canes acquisition.

This doesn't make sense. If you want a scoring 2C, Necas literally is on the team already. THAT should be the long term 2C plan.

I'd like to see Necas at center as well, but since he hasn't played there even with Aho out, I just don't think RBA wants him there (guessing faceoff is biggest issue). If it's clear neither KK nor Necas are going to be 2C this season, what's the team going to do?

Perhaps the idea then would be to find a coach that can move Necas to center. Rod's not good with game management anyway. He's often stuck to problematic ideas (Jordan Martinook first line for christ sake)
