Just my somewhat uneducated opinion, but I have watched a few recent Leafs games, and Kerfoot looks to be doing pretty decent right now on a line with Engvall and I forget lol. He is always brought up in trade rumors and proposals involving the Leafs, but he might not be quite the castaway he appears in that context. If the picks were not involved, I think the Leafs would consider, but to me, I don't believe Christian Dvorak has demonstrated that he has "add a 1st round pick to the trade" value over Kerfoot. Nor do I think Montreal gets Compher and a 1st for Dvorak.

Avs wouldn’t trade Compher for Kerfoot one for one, definitely wouldn’t add a pick there. And I’m a bigger Kerfoot fan than most.

Dvorak doesn’t have 1st round value, especially not on that contract. Toronto can’t afford to spend $4.45M on a 3rd liner.

If Toronto really wanted to overpay a 3rd liner, they could just sign Kerfoot or Compher in the off-season for cheaper. Keeps their 1st too.
