Fletcher would have to say thanks but no thanks as I can do better in the market place for Brodin. There are no less than 20 teams who want a quality D man therefore the market will be overpriced for any of the D Men that are shopped.

That would be a hard no from Minnesota. Brodin is worth a lot more than that.

As a Devils fan, even I'll admit that isn't even in the ballpark for Brodin. Quality defenseman, signed, with term, at a reasonable cap hit. I don't care if they're in an expansion crunch, he's worth WAY more than that.

We have no need for another center right now. We have 3 younger centers ( Haula-26, Eriksson Ek-20, and Kunin-19) who will be pushing for ice time at 3C this year. At best Henrique is a 3C for us behind Koivu and Staal. We can still do better than a 3C and a 3rd for Brodin. Also, even if we did see the value being equal here, this wouldn't help our expansion issues at all which is the only conceivable reason we would trade Brodin (which I honestly don't see happening).

Probably won't make a difference but Henrique is a LW. That we transitioned to C because of our lack of one. Most people seem to think he's a much better player on the left side. I'm sure everyone will disagree but that's the case.

I forgot about that. I just went on what he was listed as on here. Either way though, our options at LW consist of Niederreiter, Granlund, Zucker, and Parise with Haula and Eriksson Ek also able to move over if we need to shake things up. Other than LD, LW is probably the deepest position in our organization.
