On a side note, prior to any trades (if any happen at all); Lucas Raymond doesn’t deserve top 9 minutes. I’d rather send him down to GR instead of Veleno or Berggren once Vrana & Bert return.

I have no problem sending Raymond down to Grand Rapids. I don't think it'll happen unfortunately. His play says he's an entitled ass. Grand Rapids would be good for him. A wake up call is needed. There I said it. Fire away. I'm not changing my opinion. Veleno and Bergy deserve to stay. Soderblom needs some time in GR too.

100%

I would actually like to see Soderblom play some top 6 minutes and see how he fares before sending him down.

Soderblom certainly belongs in the NHL but he's still giving the puck away too much. But he's young and is learning the NHL game where you don't have as much time to react. I'd send him to GR. He can always be recalled after the trade deadline.

Yeah, I don’t disagree. I would just like to see him play with some of our more talented guys and see what happens.

Berggren should absolutely be playing in the top 6.

Some of these passes Bergy is making are unreal. He set Soderblom up perfectly in front of the net in the Sabres game. Sods pulled a Mikael Samuelsson and logo hunted the puck right into the goalie's chest.

Yeah, Soderblom has been displaying excellent hands within close proximity to the net and very accurate with his shots, I was shocked he didn’t bury that one. Beautiful feed tho.

Vrana & Berggren could be a terrific combo and I think would have instant chemistry on a line together.

I was thinking Vrana with Kubalik but I think Bergy could thrive on any line. He's mostly been playing 4th line and is still producing.

Why would the Leafs be paying you to take Muzzin's contract? He's LTIR fodder and doesn't effect their cap at all. It's not like money is an issue for the Leafs and they've repeatedly shown they are happy operating out of their LTIR pool.

Beyond the obvious, of course Bertuzzi isn't going to get this kind of return no matter how many ways you try to dress is up like throwing players the Leafs have no use for in Maata or trying to tack on Muzzin's contract.

Yeah, idk tbh. His status is sort of in flux. It is unclear if he is going to continue playing or not. I threw him on our LTIR because of the uncertainty but obviously if he is not going to play again, then yeah, they wouldn’t need to trade him.

Vrana with Kubalik seems a little redundant to me. I’d like to see Rasmussen centering a line with Vrana & Bergs.

I’d love to throw Copp in between those two and I wouldn’t mind that but, he just doesn’t seem like a real Center to me.

Raymond has been shaky but I'm not ready for GR with him yet. I hate that Erne Copp Raymond line though that Newsy won't seem to stop playing. It's a terrible mix those guys do not fit together at all.

Yeah, it’s an ugly one for sure. I always like to have a physical winger, finesse/playmaking kind of guy and a shooter on each line. So, I think I see what he’s trying to do w that line. Problem is, none of those guys have really found their true identity so, it doesn’t work. Erne is a really odd player to me, I actually hate seeing him in the lineup anywhere for that matter.

whoever thinks Fabbri is a viable option, he is on 3 bad knees. Raymond to the minors , you are fools. He needs to get stronger but is producing at the same pace at Tim Stutzle and he is considered a future star

First two trades look good. Take muzzin out of Toronto trade unless there is a sweetener for taking him. He's done with two more years of almost 6 mil. We don't have the salary space we used to and all that money in ltir is a drag. Not to mention he's a left d. Definitely pass on the Vancouver trade.
