Like this a lot for BUF. Values also seem quite fair, but maybe CHI will want a bit more.

Could be right, but it's gonna be a pretty high 2nd and Bloom is a pretty good prospect. He might be ranked like 14th in are system, we are deep at forward. But he would easily be top 8 in there's.

With the Hawks likely to tear it down further to the studs by the deadline with deals sending Kane, Toews and Domi out of town, I don't see why they'd keep Murphy. It may be overly optimistic, given how staunch a defender of Mittelstadt that Granato has been, but the Hawks will be very thin at center if Toews and Domi are dealt - a swap of Mittelstadt and one of the 23' 2nd round picks for Murphy and a 23 3rd round pick seems reasonable IMO.

Instead of Jeannot, I'd target Garland for the 3rd line RW spot - he's clearly available, fits the work ethic / speed / forechecking style Granato prefers and 5x5 possession driver than Olofsson. If Krebs slides up to take Mittelstadt's place and Jost drops back between Girgensons & Okposo, a 3rd line of Asplund-Krebs-Garland could be pretty good 2-way line that controls play and chips in some offense without getting caved in like the current 3rd line does.

Many Sabres fans on this website have an obsession with acquiring a physical winger, which Garland is not. Jeannot is the general Target of that obsession because he had a decent offensive year last season, is young like most of our roster, and plays a physical style. I like both players for different reasons, but Jeannot is the younger player and less expensive currently. Consequently, you know a trade for him would cost more, but they have plenty of draft capital they can use to make something like that happen.

It could cost a bit more for Jeannot, but took this and mashed a couple trades together I saw from other posters.

Hawks definitely consider this offer. If they decide to trade Murphy, this would be the type of return they'd want.

Agree with you - Jeannot can be THAT guy. Also some guys like Sharangovich, Niederreiter, Mantha, Greenway, Marcus Foligno can be great additions. Sabres would benefit from some in your face hard hitters, some sandpaper
