What is that Jeannot trade…

Man could bring in a bigger return than that easily

I can’t imagine Canucks would be happy with that return for Horvat. And I think it will get beaten by other offers

They traded for Reaves. This is another trade in that spirit. Some more oomph.

What would you propose. Should've sold higher on him last year.

I think that rental price is spot on for NYR and Bo, but I find it very unlikely that someone doesn't outbid that and VAN accept that.
But that is as far as I would go If I was Drury.

Jeannot doesn’t not have value. Gauthier kinda sucks ngl, and isn’t even an improvement on Jeannot offensively. Everyone in the organization loves Jeannot, so you’d be looking at a return of a 2023 1st or equivalent value.

He's a pending UFA, whose goal scoring popped earlier. I could see upgrading the prospect, but doubt Van doing better than a 1st and a high end prospect.

I really like Jeannot as a 4th line winger, but the return you ask is laughable. I am not a Gauthier fan, but he has skills that will always tempt someone. If he does ever put it together, he could be a steal.

Saying Gauthier straight up for Jeannot is a good deal is laughable. Jeannot is having a down year on a team that can’t score goals for their life. Nobody with the Preds org wants to move Jeannot, so unless you overpay, they won’t. He was at a half ppg for the 1st hundred games for his career so this has been an outlier of a season for him. Hard to sell on someone in a down year like this

Ya I think Canucks would want different prospects going back. Assuming there’s a bidding war (hopefully) I don’t think it’s outlandish to expect a 1st in this years Draft, and top prospect and maybe another sweetener especially with retention. Horvat is one of the best goal scorers in the NHL currently and if he can be had for less than 3mill I think that counts for a lot. Then again I thought Miller was going to be traded and they ended up signing him so Horvat coming back is also a possibility

Dude is Tom Wilson lite. Throw 250 hits and drop 20 goals, not many players like him.

Ok, so it's not a good deal for Gauthier straight up. But thinking Jeannot brings back a 1 is CRAZY!

Just look at Leafs ACGMs with Preds trades lol. It’s a consensus that he isn’t worth a tiny amount based on a down year. Jeannot has been creating a boatload of high danger chances in the past 7 games or so, but he just can’t buy a goal. When those chances start going in, you have a great player scoring at a good rate. He’s absolutely worth a large amount

Do Rags fans stay up late enough to even watch Bo? Pretty dumb offer tbh.

A first and a high end prospect would do the trick, but unfortunately you didn’t include any high end prospects
