I know in the description you said he probably won’t and I agree, but definitely has exceeded expectations so far, both in the SHL and so far in World Juniors. Having a well-rounded, big 3c for a long time could be really helpful.

yeah I think one more year in sweden and then starting in AHL then jumping to NHL the year after is probably the dream dev plan

he is a healthy scratch right now, think even a 24 1st and prospect would sway them and besides he is they type of player i would be wary of.

I wouldn’t rush him! next year SHL 24/25 AHL and 25/26 will be the year he starts pushing for a spot but i have been pleasantly surprised by his development and love his size!

I wouldn't be shocked if he's in the AHL next year but I don't want to rush him. He's been so fun to watch this WJC, I'd love to just give him the time he needs to develop and see what the ceiling is.

He was scratched for 1 game as a message to him and the team, and then he played last night. It happens. Kakko was scratched for game 7 of a playoff series and did they trade him away? No, he got a new contract, which is what will happen with Laffy.

Good, then don't trade for him and the Rangers will be happy to keep him.

i mean for non funsies I don't think the sharks should trade away assets for a pulijarvi or laffy type player. Rangers front office gotta be sweating thooo - this is three players now whose dev is not on track and its bad to see frown

to be fair it is normal to see players development ebb and flow! development can plateau here and there. sometimes permanently.

yes I definitely think NYR's success last year was not good for their players development

lol. he was touted way higher than anyone else in two years by far. nyr is well known for rushing prospects and ruining their development. Laf is just the next victim if Drury 😆
