Second, he will ask and get more than 4 years. Rumor says he wants a max term with AAV in the 6.5 to 7.5 range from tbe Leafs. The term is what is going to be important to him, since he was such a late rookie. He only really gets one shot at a big deal, and then ot is just short term deals after that. I think realistically he will get somewhere around 6x6 from someone via free agency, and that team will have buyer's remorse fairly quickly once they realize Bunting was just good at playing with other elite guys.

Bardakov is signed thru 2024, so earliest we could add him would end of next season (whenever SKA finished playoffs).
