I do not expect Devils to target any big fish during season. Maybe in off-season. But either way, I think Fitzgerald is looking for something more specific than “top-6 winger to play with Jack”.

In the meantime, just some options below to think about while we endure endless Meier-to-NJD ACGMs.

I don't know. I would think Kings fans may know. Maybe they need 2023-24 cap space, assets to land a dman, selling high, all of the above.

32 thoughts recently covered it on podcast. Said one of Kempe or Vilardi will likely be moved.

Cannot seem to stay on the ice, unfortunately. When healthy, he is great.

Horvat is elite at the bumper on the PP, not sure who plays that on NJ but is one of the best in the league at it. Thats why i also think his SH% can be maintained, hes an efficient shooter down low and not a perimeter player.

He could be a possibility over the summer. Could actually compliment Hughes well as “center on faceoffs and in d-zone, winger everywhere else” type of role that Haula and Sharangovich have played.

(Would be ironic since he was taken with Devils pick from Schneider trade).

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Kings won't be selling their leading scorer. If for some crazy reason they do, it will be for a price that you're not willing to give up, like Siegenthaler.
