MTL could just buyout Hoffman and keep the assets
MTL could just play Harris on his offside and keep the 1st round pick

we deserve a generational player, don’t have one since Guy Lafleur.

We need help on the right side and I think LA having too much RHD can be a great team to trade with. Harris doesn’t provide nothing unique like Guhle, Xhekaj and Matheson and with Hutson coming up, he could be a trade piece to try and bolster up that right side. With Durzi we have a balanced defense pool with Guhle, Hutson + Xhekaj on the left and Durzi, Barron and Mailloux on the right.

Honestly, you do. Kent Hughes has been such a dream for you guys. A core of Slafkovsky, Bedard, Caufield, Dach, Suzuki, Roy, Mysak, Barron, Harris, Beck, Mesar, Kidney, Farrell, Hutson, etc. could easily run a dynasty. The amount of talent he has accumulated over just the last few seasons is ungodly, and now there is a distinct possibility the Habs get Bedard AND another insane prospect. Just imagine you guys get Bedard at 1 and then snatch Mitchkov with Florida's pick. As a hockey fan, I'm glad a franchise as storied and electric as the Habs has a genuinely insane future, but as a Leafs fan I am slightly terrified

I think it’s a fair trade. LA have too much RHD (Doughty, Clarke, Roy, Spence) and not a lot of LHD. Harris can become a good 4th or 5th d-man in the NHL. The first round pick is because I think Durzi has a high ceiling and could become a top pair defenseman, but again, I haven’t seen him play a lot but I do like what I saw when I watched him

Love to see that there is some Nice leafs fan out there!
You also forgot our best prospect on defense: Kaiden Guhle! Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton are building this team the right way and now developpement becomes the #1 priority if MTL do get Bedard or even two top 10 picks.

Honestly as a habs fan I think you guys deserve a cup run! You have a great team, just need to improve that defense! A guy like Chychrun would be insane for you.

How did I forget Guhle, what a stud. I'm a huge sucker for teams that are ran like the Habs. Kent Hughes did rebuilding right, has created a fantastically fun team, and will reap the rewards for years to come. I'm looking forward to seeing the Leafs Habs rivalry truly rekindled. Also, I'm hoping for a cup run before you Habs and Sabres get really good

Would rather send Edmundson retained for Durzi and balance it out with other pieces if necessary. I'm not stuck on Harris but he fits the timeline much better than Eddy.

I would accept that offer as the Los Angeles GM, but I would make the pick going your way also a 2023 selection.

However, honesty compels me to say that I don't believe that Montreal would trade a youngster who could have waited a few weeks and signed with anyone, but instead chose to sign with the Canadiens.

Gary Bettman already has his plan fixed, either the Hawks or Flyers will "win" the lottery.

Maybe the Yotes or BJ's if Bettman gets scared looking at their lack of ticket sells.
