A bit of a silly comparison. Newhook’s rookie season outperformed Jost’s career highs. Newhook has had a slow sophomore season, but I’m hardly ready to pull the plug on a 21 year old who hasn’t played with strong linemates yet due to all the Avs injuries.

PPG through 1st 2 seasons - Jost is 0.35 and Newhook is 0.42. Equates to 5 pts in a regular season. If you watch their games you can see similarities. I didn't trade him, I scratched him.

Avs are injured not weak and still managing to be two points off a wild card spot (with two games in hand) with half their team injured.
