How is a late second-round draft pick an upgrade on our best defensive defenseman?!?!?

And @BCAPP is right -- on the extremely unlikely off-chance that we got an acceptable overpay offer for Matt Roy, we wouldn't be trading Sean Walker at the same time.

The Chychrun trade is one I could live with if the years of the draft picks were switched.

It’s just the situation: Doughty ain’t going anywhere, Clarke is the future, and honestly Durzi’s offensive skills puts him ahead of Roy. More games, and moving back to the right side will benefit Durzi. So will pairing him with Anderson. They still have Spence as another RHD. All of that makes Walker & Roy expendable.

You've likely explained why one of Clarke or durzi would be going back in a Chycrun trade
