1. These aren't actual trades that would happen; rather, just a look at how the Leafs roster could've shaped up had they not made certain trades, or made signings that they had the opportunity to.
2. Salary cap is 85.5m because I'm assuming without JT's contract, the Willy/Mitch/Auston would take 1m less each

These are so pointless. We didn't sign JT instead of Kardi, they played a year together. Without the Marleau trade they wouldn't have been able to sign both Matthews and Marner. That was Lou's fine work to give a 37 year old that much term

I do think JT is a far better second line centre than Kadri; that's why he makes more money. I do like our bottom six more though which we'd be able to maintain with saving money on Kadri and matthews/marner/willy taking less because JT's deal brought them all up

Yup, its a shame he couldn't get his act together here in Toronto. Once he did in Colorado, look how well he turned out.
