Realization probably sets in this offseason that Flyers can't compete and they start selling pieces for picks to rebuild.

I would assume the JVR and Braun trade is to any team, because the worst team in hockey isn't trading a 2nd and 5th round pick for them.

Don't think the Kings are keen to trade this years 1st round pick. Make the 1st a 2024 and they probably do it.

Also, drop one of the 2nds and take Petersen out of the trade. Don't think the Kings are ready to give up on him yet.

They won't do anything with him until Summer 2024. If he can't rebound, they'll buy him out. His buyout cap hit is insignificant.

He's already playing much better down in Ontario. He won't get recalled while Copley is playing lights out, but if Copley's play falls off, we could see him back in the NHL this season. If not, he'll get a chance next season in training camp.
