I would take that if I was Drury. If nothing more than to break Gallants heart when his sweetheart is gone.

We have no use for more middle 6 scoring. if we’re sellers, Nino gets moved for a pick and Ekholm is on the block rather than Mcdonagh.

Preds decline.

LOL. So, they get out of "cap hell" by trading an effective forward who's cap hit is only 4.4% of the total cap and replace him with a meh, bottom 6 forward? No thanks. Enjoy missing the playoffs again.

Olofsson can also be traded for a pick as he will be an expiring contract as well, but you have to field a team.

Yeah, not paying a 4th liner 3.6 million a year for 4 years will be helpful. Other Rangers fans agree

Not if they have a brain. He is way more than a 4th liner and that's why he is paid what he is paid, and he is worth every penny...........and proof that he is worth every penny is the fact you want to trade for him at his full cap hit AND retain salary on Casey to get him. Keep dreaming.

He's expiring after next year, not this year. Preds don't have use for him or his contract.

Rangers decline because Barclay Goodrow and the 3rd round pick from Colorado are untouchable

On a serious note, I would probably accept that trade but I doubt the Rangers FO wants to move Goody

I'm trying to make a realistic trade. Teams don't retain for 4 years and NYR have a cap crunch hence the retention for 1 year of mittelstadt. It will be a tough offseason with very little cap space for NYR and many RFAs

Trading an effective player that represents 4.4% of the cap space isn't how you solve a cap crunch. Ranger have enough cap room to sign all the RFA's, so no need to dump an effective player. But keep dreaming.
