Why? Tired of this organisation not being able to develop players.

Me too, but giving away assets isn't going to solve the problem, is it? Sometimes it takes a kid time to develop. Look at Chytil, it's taken a few years but he is becoming a legit center, and Kakko is starting to show real signs of being a top 6 RW working with Mika and Kreider. They are possession monsters when they play together. Laffy will get there, Gallant or no Gallant.

We have 4 more years of Panarin and 5 years of Krieder. That's how long Laffy will stay a top 9 fw that gets scratched every time he makes a mistake. I don't think my nerves can handle that. By drafting a fresh that problem will be less problematic because they will take a few years before they are ready. Hence solving two problems.

Evans, is on the perfect bottom 6 contract. While Xhekaj is on a cheap contract next year too, giving NYR more cap flexibility going forward.

With this roster I don't care about coaching. They can play to win only.

Nothing wrong with being on 3rd line- as long as that line gets about the same ice time as lines 1 and 2. Put LaF on PP1, either Zib, Trocheck, or Panarin on PP2, And make sure PP2 gets more than the typical 10-20 seconds- here's an idea: how about starting the PP with PP2 on occasion?
I do like the idea of pursuing Evans, though. Don't know much about Xhekaj other than seeing him mentioned a lot in trades. His name though would give Sam Rosen fits!

After this season Panarin has 3 more years and Kreider 4. And if Laffy develops a bit more, there is no reason Kreider couldn't move to RW, or Laffy to RW. Laffy is only 21 and when Panarin's contract expires he will be all of 24, and 25 when Kreider's runs out. In his prime as these two guys move on or accept less money and a reduced roll. It about more than this and next year.

He is a surprise I would say Xhekaj. Big physical d man. Sort of what Slater hoped Dylan McIlrath would be. I would laugh my ass off hearing Sam trying to say his name 😂

Well by that logic the habs pick can be bedard so you are not even remotely close in value.

This is only that pick that is Will Smith of the two, read the description. Sorry trade details.

Will smith is worth more to the habs than lafrenniere is. The habs dont need another winger player or prospect

They do. LPD will play center next or next year again for MTL. And if they get a top 3 pick, they need winger. Besides solid goalie prospects and and first round pick too. Pretty fair I would say

Nah, I just realised he will be top 9 forward for 4 more years being a 0.5 pp player if he can take it. Otherwise he will decline. Besides it really does make more sense looking at what NYR really needs.

That's completely different thinking than your previous Gallant scapegoating lmao. But I will say one thing: it *may* become a question over the offseason due to cap restraints. I've started to think it's becoming possible that the Rangers will sell high on Lafreniere to keep Filip Chytil, as opposed to selling low on Chytil to keep Laf.

It would have to resemble something like Kirby Dach for Alexander Romanov though.

Garand wouldnt be in our top 2 goalie prospects he has no value to the habs and is a sub .900 goalie this year.

The habs have Dach Slaf caufield farrell roy kidney anderson gallagher long term at wing they dont need another winger.

If its fair keep your stuff the habs will be much happier with the higher pick and you conviently left out Arber of your analysis who the habs are not moving .
