So we give up Sebrango retain on Vrana and give up a 1st and 2nd round pick for a pending UFA in Andrei Kuzmenko, I don't think so. We can just sign him for free come July 1st. Detroit aren't buyers nor would Kuzmenko be our target even if we were.

Detroit 100% declines the Bertuzzi deal, No way is Yzerman trading Bert to a divisional foe for basically a late 1st round pick. Robertson would at least need to be added if not Niemela.

FYI you can't retain $4,000,000 on Vrana, That exceeds the 50% mark which you can retain on players.

Detroit *should* get more than a late 1st for Bertuzzi. I don't see Toronto being a trade partner.

Kuzmenko trade makes zero sense.

I agree but you forgot to mention that Bertuzzi remains in division. This one wasn't very well thought out.

Yeah i was just about to do something on Bertuzzi as well, We all know that Yzerman won't deal Bertuzzi within the division unless it's a massive steal for us.

So many things wrong with this but I’ll start with: the retention can only be $2.6m max, we can’t retain more than that.

Kuzmenko is not a center and he’s also a free agent at the end of the year.

Why/how on earth would you find it plausible to trade Tyler Bertuzzi, Jakub Vrana, Donovan Sebrango and a 2nd round pick for Kuzmenko? In what world does that make any sense?
