I put Chiarot in it as Detroit has to move some money. If not they wouldn't be under the CAP. Calgary takes on no money with the other 3 compared to the 8 or 9 mil a year Lindholm will get. As an UFA Calgary is not going to get full value. To get that they should have traded him a year ago. Also, .He could still be moved by Calgary for someone or a pick before the deadline. Also, have you seen the Calgary defense
They have 5 UFA's. Only 2 vets under contract after this season. They need somebody.

A world that gave them a chance to sign Tarasenko. If they don't do something like this then there is no chance. Carolina and Jersey keep getting better. At what point do they cut their loses.

I don't think NYR would do it unless the were guaranteed to sign Tarasenko. The it works for them. So basically, I look at it as Trouba and AL for Tarasenko, Chariot, Zelano and a through in minors defenseman.

Rangers clear CAP
Trouba is at 8 mil, Chariots 4.75. Then AL isn't going to sign for a minimum. So by getting Veleno they would save at least 2.5 mil.Yes more talent goes to Detroit but if NYG want to sign Tarasenko they have to do something.

Toronto CAP and DRW picks
My question is if the leafs don't pay the extra 4th. Who has the CAP space that is willing to take him for just a 1st
Remember, The value of something is what you actually get for it. Not what we think it's worth.

Toronto CAP and DRW picks
Even with Jake Muzzin's LTIR the Leafs are over 3 mil over the CAP. There aren't many teams with enough CAP room to take on Murray's contract. How do they get under the CAP?
Don't just say a 2nd
That's too much money to take on for a 2nd.

Ottawa has about 8 mil in CAP space. They still need to add like 5 or 6 players. AD turned down 8 mil to stay. Only 4 others teams have the CAP space to pick him up. Who's offering more?

Toronto needs CAP room. To get it they dump Murray. DRW has CAP space. They put Murray on Waivers. He will go through and then they release him.

After reading about Danielson. I don't see him up for 3 years. I know that Lindholm is making demands of Calgary but I think some of that is to get himself out of there.

There was talk of them buying Trouba out. They only have 11 mil CAP for 8 players and wanted to create more CAP space. The fans aren't happy with either.

I would add that NYR has to pick up anywhere from 2.5 mil to 3 mil of Trouba's contract per year.

Little bit different
What other team in the NHL would take on 2 years of 4.8 mil to move up 20 picks and give up a later pick. The going rate to absorb that contract is a 1 st rounder for each year. DRW would not do that trade.

He just defaulted there. I think he will get that on the open market. I didn't like any of the older centers in FA. I do think it's possible to do this in FA. Too many FAs and not enough teams with CAP space. I'm more concerned if that's going to be enough for Mayfield. He would still be 3 Rd line but we need size back there. Now, shift the lines as you like.

Ok, give Hellberg a little less. As far as enough next year. Perrone, Verrana, and Hellberg are off the books. Kasper and Cossa are less than a million each. They have rfa's Rasmussen, Seider, Raymond and Berggren to sign but this scenario leaves them almost 24 mil to do so. I think that's possible. That's without the CAP.going up. I think we need a little.Nasty on the Blue line. Ottawa and Buff can't be allowed to push us around.

Barbashev is a UFA next year also. What's makes you think you can resign him when you have other centers coming up. If Bert will not sign by the trade deadline than trade him. St.Louis likes grinders who can score and may like him.

I disagree. Bert had a rough negotiation last time. He is rumored to be moving. The Wings get a desperately needed 2nd line Center. Both are UFA's next year. Scoring was similar. That goalie would not make the DRW and would back to Europe then. He Helps St.Louis who is a little tight on the CAP. Bert is a year older. The CAP space for one year means nothing to Detroit.

Canucks save on CAP DRW get top C redue
For Tyler Tiffoli. mont got the 29th pick and and a 4th rounder. A decent 2nd round D prospect in Sweden and a 4 line winger in Pitlick. Det gets a better center but takes on a lot of CAP money between the two. CAP $ Van will need to resign many contracts coming up. So. 1st in '23, 2nd in '22, Both D men listed were 2nd rounders and a 3rd or 4th line winger who is only 26 and not 30. Would that suffice?

Pre expansion move
I understand what you're both saying. However, the reasons I put Kuzy in there: Yzerman has worked with Russian players like this. He hasn't done anything illegal just an attitude which a trade could help. He isn't that old and should be effective over the next 4 years. You may have a Russian coach in a year or so. They got rid of Vrana for the same attitude and he's worked out. They will not give up that goalie lightly if you don't help them out. Burt and Fabbri are probably UFA's next year. Vitek is very cheap right now. They will have a lot of trade partners before the expansion draft for him. Wallstedt may be great or not. He probably wouldn't be up with the club for 3 years. Vitek is 22 and has proven himself in the NHL. I would like to amend the trade and up that 2nd to their 1st and they include Hoglund. I'd we sit on the guys listed I believe Burt not be here in two years and neither will Greis. I'm not sold on top 10 goalies. You would definitely have a good goalie still under control and good top two line center. We need more forwards in the future. That's where I think he will draft.

Pre expansion move
Wash will lose the Goalie in expansion if they do nothing. They are tired of K. This adds an extra player without adding cost. If one of these guys get taken in the exp. Than their contracts are larger and the CAP gets better for Wash. Kuz has a big CAP number. Det can afford it. Gives them a top two center. Goalie for the future. Have up 2 guys I would want to keep but you have to give to get. Both will be UFA's in a year or two. They also fit I think what Wash needs. I threw in the early 2nd to balance it out a bit more. Wash will not get value of Kuz because of his off ice activities, cost and age. Also, everyone knows they need to move the Goalie before. Exp.

MIN expansion draft trade
Dumba is very good but he is a right hand shot. So are Seider and Hronek. That would put Hronek on the 3rd pair. Also, a team would want to know if McCisick is healthy. Now, are you proposing this so Min., gets some VAP relief?
If they don't need Cap relief I don't think they would do it yet. I would rather the Wings go after a Left shot Defenseman.
