Yes, DRW got more talent from NYR. However, for NYR to sign Tarasenko they need to clear CAP space. They haven't been happy with a either Trouba or AL.

I don't think NYR would do it unless the were guaranteed to sign Tarasenko. The it works for them. So basically, I look at it as Trouba and AL for Tarasenko, Chariot, Zelano and a through in minors defenseman.

I wouldn’t move Trouba alone for that price. NYR has no interest in moving either

A world that gave them a chance to sign Tarasenko. If they don't do something like this then there is no chance. Carolina and Jersey keep getting better. At what point do they cut their loses.
