I would even think this is a slight overpayment for this package of SJ player

Idk, it's tough. These are the two best contracts on the team. They'd both have 1.25 cap hits, Barabanov with another year after this (top six forward) and Benning another THREE (middle pairing D).
I think Howard has the highest ceiling but is struggling this year. The players in this trade aren't super remarkable and I think i'd prefer more picks instead.

Doubt Benning this year is more than a 7 the defenseman Healthy Zach Bogosian is probably playing over Benning

What's with the Killorn Hate? He has a far stronger offensive game has played about 65% of the time Cirelli has been on the ice in the regular season in his Cirelli's career

Which is why I made a Future Consideration for SJS to pick a players in 2024, where they are more developed than trying to guess if they are going to be good or not. It a safer bet

It has nothing to do with hating on Killorn, only problem is he is a FA after this season and going to get what Palat got with New Jersey.

Not to forget, Barabanov will have to get use to being a 2nd line winger (if this happens), so it a good idea to give him chemistry with Cirelli and Stamkos.

One thing I would change is swap Maroon or Perry with Matt Nieno as he was on SJS 2nd line

That getting chemistry for next year idea when you're making a playoff run is mind boggling. Playoff time is win now worry about next year next year. If you're coaching to help chemistry next year you're not getting out of the first round.

So he was a bad 2nd liner on a very bad team is the reason you think we should bump guys who've played well here out of the lineup ? You think this is rational decision making?

By the way did they take Palat off the top line to get Hagel chemistry In the playoffs last year? No so , why Demote Killorn who is on a 28g 58pt in 82 pace? Why wouldn't you keep using Killorn as you have been just like you did with Palat they all knew he was gone. There was no way the cap was going to work.

ain't no way you say this. Benning has the same amount of points this season as Bogo the past 4 seasons. yes, Bogosian was on the bench and on the IR the past 4 seasons, but that's still a 94 game difference. Oh yea, Benning is paired with one of the worst offensive defenseman in the NHL in Marc-Édouard Vlasic.

I say again Bogosian is playing first.
