Rangers don't have between $8,000,000 to $9,000,000 per long term for Meier. So he's a pure rental and you're not getting Lafreniere for a pure rental.

Not the sharks responsibility to make sure it’s possible for NYR to resign him. They shouldn’t trade him for a discount because the rangers cap is sh*t

Lol I'm not arguing the rangers cap is trash rn but I Drury trades a 1st overall pick for a player he can't afford to resign (making him a rental) then he would be ran out of NYC
