Action at '23 NHL Draft - Lafrenière deal is huge! He is due to renegociate his contract and with their bald move to trade for Kane at TDL, they want to sign him but not have enough room to sign Lafrenière, so they offer MTL a deal.

MTL draft at 7th place and - They select Matvei Michkov, he dropped at draft because is a Russian player and Mtl will be willing to wait a couple of years before coming in America.

The plan is to Wait for '24-25 season to sign Dubois as a UFA.

      Send him somewhere else.

Minnesota doesn't want him, and hasn't for 3 years now.

Drury laughs and says no thanks but says if you have to have French players, you can have Sammy Blais or Julian Gauthier. Laffy is not available.

With 14.000.000 cap space there is no rush to get rid of Armia, he can easily play on the 4th along Evans where you put Wood. I believe Wood is a very strange signature, it's a lot of money for a 4th liner.

The deal for Laffy is too much, I believe one of these assest is the ''paying to get rid of Armia'' which is very not necessary.
Struble has no value, he's just a quantity asset in that deal and it really makes no difference.
IMO a good deal for Lafrenière would be FLA 1st pick + 2nd round pick + one of Farrell/Kidney/Mysak/Mesar

Edmundson will return at maximum what we receive in Chiarot deal unless habs retain or take salary back.

With Monahan being still injured, I doubt he'll fetch more than a 2nd. I could be wrong here.

Also, how can you plan to wait until 24-25 to sign Dubois when you absolutely don't know what contract he is going to sign this summer. This makes no sense. If he signs with terms, he won't be available in 24-25.

That Laf deal is absolutely horrible for MTL and if KH makes that deal he should be run out of town and banned from the NHL altogether. There isn't a sliver of a chance that "deal" even happens, Habs are getting ripped off heavily and it's not even close.

You're crazy, what has Laf done so far to warrant a top 10 pick in a draft deeper than his own was and get an A prospect in Farrell and a 2nd? I would offer a 1st outside the top 15 and maybe a B prospect like Ylonen or Heineman but that is about all and to be clear I know the Rags wouldn't go for it.

no he doesn't. That is a boat load of prospect and a top 15 draft pick in a stocked draft. I think that is a good deal for the rangers. You've seen how laf has been playing. I understand that it may take a little while for players to get used to the NHL (look a Zibanejad) but the rangers dont have the cap to afford everyone.

Drury easily passes and Laffy isn't going to be a problem to sign, it's will be Miller and/or Chytil. They will get much more than Laffy.
