Just an FYI, in the Gost case, you can physically type in the 50% amount, although you are still well over the cap.

Thanks, didn't know that. Actually retaining at 50% would keep it under the cap because cap space is accrued over the course of the season so teams have more cap room at the deadline than it shows. The Rangers should have about 5.37mm in cap space at the deadline so this team is actually under the cap.
