Honestly I think this is by far one of the most undeserving fires I’ve known in my life of watching hockey. If there’s some one or people to fire and deserve more blame it’s ownership and management. BBQ Bruce damn near saved us last year and just the overall lack of moves made really damaged our chances before the season even started. The additions made were really good but just rest of lack of trades. There was only Ethan Bear added to the blueline but the rest management really price themselves out with moving on from a Garland or Boeser. The biggest one that really didn’t sit well with me was Vancouver declining a trade with Pittsburgh for John Marino at the price of Rathbone and a 2nd. And come to think of it the team really traded Dickinson and a 2nd for Stillman. Just think of that for a moment. Really doesn’t sit right with me still. But the Ethan Bear trade was a good one. Only if there were more good trades.

In last words again I’m incredibly sad that it’s ending this way with Bruce Boudreau and that he really didn’t deserve to be fired. Because of him JT Miller got paid, Bo is a scoring machine, Pettersson really seemed to have tapped in to his potential, Pearson before surgeries seemed to have regained his game, Bear seems to have found a good spot in the line up and has played well, Schenn has become the top 4 RHD we needed. There was a lot of good that has come from Bruce. I’m very grateful for what he’s got this team through and the good he had built in the lineup. I think every Canucks fan will absolutely miss him and wish the team had done better. There will definitely be teams calling him when they inevitably fire their coaches.
