Because ZAR is innefective compared to what Benn brings to the table. ZAR will bring 5-8 mins a night in playoffs providing nothing; has not got the speed to keep up and has not shown physical play. We need bottom six guys with speed and jam. If 1 of those guys in the bottom 5 are not playing well then we just run 3 lines. Good teams do that anyways. Benn can play 8-10 mins a night in controlled situations and be an effective defender.

Benn doesn't bring much at all, while ZAR has been spectacular defensively and throws the body (35th in hits/60). ZAR definitely brings more than what Benn, our 8th defenseman, brings.
