Description

The big fish names this deadline come with so much risk I'm not sure Dubas does much at all. But one guy fits what they need quite well. Konecny at 5.5 is very manageable, for 3 years at that. He'll also make retaining Willy a lot easier in 2 years unlike Meier would if we tried to sign him. Flyers giving up someone like Konecny would have to initialize the rebuild though, and they've been unwilling to do that up to this point anyway.
Rumor is they've been trying to move Frost (ala Merkley in SJ). Obviously there's the Soo connection there, but that's a low risk high reward guy Dubas seems to love trying on.

This one is really well done IMO. The term on Konecny might make the Leafs have to pay more but not by much.

Konecny has one of the highest expected goals against per 60 in the league. Risk is definitely a big thing with him.

The Flyers haven't been trying to move Frost, teams were just calling on him in November. In terms of value though, I think this looks good. Maybe take out Frost and add a guy like Braun who could help you with defensive depth on a playoff run.
