So Buffalo gives up the younger, cheaper goalie who's playing better plus Krebs and Kulich?

This isn't a terrible idea for BUF. Demko will bounce back next year, and I think UPL is still a year or two away (and they still ahve Levi). With the talent in the BUF system, trading away one of their minor league player to solidify an important position isn't a bad thing. And to me, Krebs is kinda expendable with the emergence of other youngsters.

i like krebs and lukkonen, but demko is one of the best young goalies in the game, not moving him and especially when hes been out,and value isnt at the highest.

Trading for a 27 yr goalie who is on a down year and injured, with a long term contract is very risky. What if he is never the same player when he leaves Vancouver, what if he struggles in the Sabres system. I just don't see this team moving that much capital for a position that has not been a issue for 2 months now. Both their goalies are in the top 20 for goals saves above expected.

It's risky for sure, but it's just 3 more years at a pretty palatable $5 mil. gives Levi time to mature. He's having an off year, and I think VAN is being cautious with him, cause the team is an absolute mess right now. He'll be 30 / 31 when it's done,

He's not a young goalie, and right now he's just average, but he's a big upgrade on the current duo.

Sorry but this is no where near what BUF is likely to do.
1. Anderson goes to a contender if he decides he wants to go
2. UPL is not likely getting traded, as he is likely to get the keys till Levi is ready
3. Kulich is not going anywhere; it would need to be a better return to get him included

If BUF was going to make a move like this it would be more likely Portillo, Johnson, Comrie and ‘24 first or second
