How do you know that 2 years isn’t a long time in kanes memory? The isles have lost 11 of 13, they would need to go on a 10-12 game winning streak to get the 2nd wild card spot. Let’s be realistic here . Isles do not have a lot of good players, they have one of the worst group of skaters in the nhl

Also can be said about goals… my point is that if you say Wahlstrom > Kane 5v5 because of what boils down to much higher A2/60 I think you are mistaken in your conclusion. Kane has nothing in terms support from the other hawks putting him on a real team and I’d bet my house he out produces Wahlstrom.

I figure Kane wouldn’t consider 2 years long because of the comments I’ve heard in recent years about the hawks competing, especially in the late stan bowman era. I’m not going to claim to know what up with the islanders, but they seem like they are going all in for whatever reason. Picking up Patrick Kane would be the kind of move only made by the islanders if they went on a decent run after the all star break anyways.
