Pretty big overpayment for John Klingberg imo

not even close. It's a bunch of unknowns at the NHL level for a known on a team with no impact defenders. Highly unlikely that will get it done. Quality over Quantity is better

In any deal with Dallas, I think the Leafs would try to work it out to in part, at least, acquire the 3rd overall pick. I am not sure John Klingberg is really a good fit with our present. Then you are adding Del Zotto and Franson. That's a lot of "offence" and minimal, if not zero, upgrading on the defensive side of the defense. There are definitely a number of better suited trade partners with the Leafs than Dallas but always nice to see a breath of fresh trade around here
