I'm not 100% sure about this but I think you have to activate someone off of LTIR/IR before trading them. Then the acquiring team needs to be cap compliant to take them on their roster, before putting them bak onto IR.

LTIR is such a hard thing to understand perfectly but i think TB would have to be able to fit these guys in prior to putting them on LTIR themselves. So doesn't help them.

Nyquist is expected to be back in time for the playoffs, so he probably actually has higher vlaue than that.
