Meier deal literally is out beat by most the league. Niemela took a decent step back this season and isn’t this highly sought after prospect rn, would definitely need knies to be involved if you want meier.

Doubt Vancouver does that aswell. Would have to pay more since Toronto has to involve kerfoot for cap reasons which though he is a good player would be considered a cap dump in this situation.

Florida says no aswell they need to move cap not take on more. They aren’t even close to a PO spot so acquiring depth in Holl and ZAR does nothing for them.

While I agree with you saying we dont need depth. And to take on cap. I’d accept this as Florida. Get a second back. But not sure this helps since they are only 3 points out of a spot and have points in like 9/10 of their last games.

Yes but Florida doesn’t have cap they can’t activate duclair till they move 3 mill. So not only are they downgrading in the defensive department and not really improving the offence but they are just gonna end up having to sell on duclair/ Reinhart or Bennett for a lesser return then wanted or they will just end up using that 2nd to move a cap dump.

Either way don’t see this trade being beneficial to Florida. If they are gonna move gudas I’m sure he will have lots of interest. Big RHD are in need right now and add on his physicality, willingness to fight and step up for teammates.

I’m sure a team like Edmonton/ Buffalo/ Winnipeg/ Toronto(without cap dump back)/ Washington/ etc etc would pay a pretty penny for his services

Hornqvist is on ltir and isn’t gonan come back this year. Concussion issues so no need to clear anything for no reason.
