What makes you think Bertuzzi would want to play for Detroit? He also has had multiple injuries over the years which has me questioning if he's going to be worth any more then what I want to give him. Also can't see him returning to Boston since they will be losing their star players and their cap situation. Also, I want a source on that Detroit deal

We will be hard pressed to add more players we will lose for nothing at the end of the year. It could work if Calgary moves at least 2 of Lindholm, Toffoli, Hanifin and Backlund for future assets. Otherwise we don't have the cap-space.</div></div>
I feel like Calgary is going to make another big move. The only reason I thought it would be a good idea for Calgary to acquire a 40-goal scorer who is probably going to want 8.3M- 9M

Jarnkrok scored 20 goals this year which is comparable to a player who only had 1 good season. Tippet isn't really a defensive threat and he only played well for 1 season which is why his worth isn't any higher. Jarnkrok isn't a bad player. he's also good defensively which is what the Flyers lack. Also, the Flyers are in a rebuild.

understandable if it was 4M but 6M is a huge risk. You dont want another Mikheyev or Garland situation. if he doesn't play well then that's another L for the Canucks. Makes more sense to not overpay him and then if he's playing higher then what he's worth then that's a bigger W for the organization

trades make sense other then the NYR trade. I don't think Lafreniere is worth 6M. id give him around 3M. But tell me why 6M?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>Don't like Nylander....Tell us why would a non playoff team trade two first rounders for upcoming UFA?</div></div>
because their not the smartest franchise especially when it comes down to acquiring players. they still have a chance of making the playoffs. if they trade Myers and acquire a new defender. They're not in a rebuild. they are in a re-tool.

i disagree although if they do start to play bad then i do agree with these lines

Sabres gave Lyubushkin almost 3m. Schenn is better then him so I'd say this is fair. Knies has never played an NHL game so no he will not be playing on the 2nd line. Lafferty is a 3rd and will be replacing Engvall because he is better then Engvall

So is this what you do? You go on CapFriendly to blow off some steam? Pathetic. Idk if you are aware that there is something called hockey insiders who have reported that it is likely for the salary cap to raise by 4M possibly even 5M. I know the salary cap doesn't really matter to you because either way your team isn't going to make the playoffs.

For starters, your 2nd is pushed off a year, which is going to be a problem when others can offer a 23 2nd. Secondly, SDA's days of being a "prospect" are pretty much over. Now he's just an AHL player who lacks the skating and fully rounded game to be a real factor in the NHL. And he's not the type of player the Blues like, especially at C. Look, man, you want a guy that lots of teams want. You need to beat those teams to get him. This won't do it.[/quote

Leafs do not want to trade their 1st round. STL pretty much only got a 1st for Tarasenko so Barbeshev would probably be a 2nd and a b level prospect. Acciari would be a 3rd round
