I like Johnson but an OS and therefore unprotected pick is super risky. Don't hate Montour but don't love it either as I'm not convinced how well his game will translate outside FLA. Absolutely zero reason to literally give away the best 4c in the league just to sign two worse fourth liners to more money. Borgstrom didn't make the team two years ago and is a 26yo playing in Finland, not NHL quality. If you have the cap space might as well keep Bear and hope he's just getting back up to speed from his injury

Caps aren't in the charity business, so they won't move Dowd for what is basically nothing. Rifai and a 7th do nothing for DC.
