I think that the picks would be flipped in the Los Angeles deal. Walker is an everyday player who is under contract for 2023-2024 and could be a perfectly fine #3RD next season while sheltering JDB and Thomson; Talbot is a UFA who would only be insurance against all of Quick, Copley and Petersen being unuseable during the playoffs. Talbot plus the 2024 Washington second for Walker and the 2023 Los Angeles fifth is a lot more like it.
