I know the hawks have a big asking price for Mccabe, but he is not worth trading that much for.

Hawks don't want all that. Just a first for using a retention slot for 3 seasons. It limits their ability to sign and flip players like domi for 3 years. It also limits their return on domi this season since they won't be able to retain half his salary with Toews and Kane absolutely needing those last 2 retention slots this season. Limiting themselves that much is only worth it if they get a first for mccabe. This package falls short of that.

So how does that Blues trade work, is it a 1st and Kerfoot for O'Reilly and Hirvonen for Barbashev?Seems kinda cheap imo.
