How about you give us a first and edmundson for Puljujarvi. Joely boy will not return an early round pick.

if he starts playing again i think that's going to be his value. you can argue against it all you want but it seems to be his value

He will need to prove he can play good and ofc his value goes up. But as of now that trade is extremly unbalanced.

that's why this acgm is in the future. this is the most likely option in my opinion so i added it. there is many factors that could not make this happen that is for sure.

TBH I didn't see that it was in the future at first so sorry if i came off rude. But still we are both correct in that he needs to up his value first.

Matheson on the right just takes opportunity away from Barron.
We can play him with Savard to take the more difficult minutes.
Guhle or Xhekaj with Barron, depending on whether Barron seems ready for 2nd or 3rd pair. Xhekaj makes more sense as he's already being sheltered and Guhle seems ready for top 4 at least.
Kovacevic has been playing well enough for a spot as well, which means one of Xhekaj or Harris being the 7th D on any given night.

Harris is the #3 rookie dman in minutes played …
He is light years ahead of Xhekaj & Barron
Even Kovacevic is ahead of Xhekaj & Barron

    Guhle-Savard
    Matheson-Harris
    Xhekaj-Kovacevic
    Wideman

Barron will play in the AHL next year, + I don’t see MTL trading Edmundson this TDL

    So
    Matheson-Savard
    Guhle-Edmundson
    Xhekaj-Harris
    Kovacenic
    Wideman

Problem is that I don't see us trading Matheson (I'd like to, but not sure the market is there for him). We obviously aren't trading Guhle.
So who do we keep out of Harris and Xhekaj?
If Barron isn't ready it buys us time to make that choice, but it's still a looming decision, unless Barron never establishes himself and Harris takes a spot on the right. That's a less desirable outcome.

Barron is not better than Harris/Xhekaj/Kovacevic right now. So no reason for him to play in the NHL yet
Everyone outside Matheson played their offside, not a big deal IMO

i would do that but i hate the guhle and savard pairing. we should give him a good partner if we're gonna ask him to play top 4 min

Guhle-Harris should be our top pairing lmao
    Matheson-Savard
    Xhekaj-Kovacevic
    Wideman

    Edmundson (traded)
    Barron (AHL)

harris hasn't shown he can play on the right at this level. i wouldn't submit him to this change while having to play top 4 minutes

    ghule-matheson/someone we swap matheson for
    harris-savard
    xhekaj-kovacevic or barron

that would be my ideal 6
