Nashville wins this trade big time. Carlson is extremely underrated, and MOJO is much better than Aberg and McCleod combined, and Connolly is probably better than them both too.

NSH will have one year of Carlson and then won't be able to re-sign him due to PK's cap hit and their need for forwards, whereas WSH will have two years of Ellis and possibility of re-signing him. Ellis' worth is the possibly the highest it will ever be with the expansion draft upcoming so we would definitely have to overpay to nab him instead of teams like Tampa who can offer Drouin/Johnson etc...Trading Johansson frees up cap space to sign our rfa's long term. Connolly put up no points and was a healthy scratch (albeit due to dumb coaching imo) and Aberg has put up 5 points and played very well for NSH.
