Not to keen on giving up Kulich... Also, 1st would need to be lottery protected. Ostlund and a 1st with another prospect I think is more realistic.

100% i agree on lottery protection. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bruins put lottery protection considering how highly touted this draft is. Just not worth the risk. I think this is what the Sharks would ask. Tons of blue chip prospects in your system, but we would want a sniper that can either play center or wing. Ostlund is great, but personally I value Kulich a bit higher.

I'll say this again as I've said in other posts. I don't think the Sabres need to make a move on Meier. But, just for the sake of rumors and the fun of it, I'm posting what Grier would ask for.

Sabres aren't gonna include Kulich and they shouldn't have to. Good thing is if Adams jumps in the game, he does this trade knowing he doesn't have to.

Totally get it. Kulich has high upside. But, in terms of a window, does he jump into the NHL in the next year or two and start scoring 20+? Maybe? Maybe not? Meier comes in there and you have automatically one of the best top 6's in the league for years to come. Trading a high reward guarantee vs. high risk sale. I guess time will tell. What I'm picking up is Adams honestly doesn't trade for Timo because he likes the pieces he currently has.

I agree, and I really want Timo. He would take are top 9 to the next level. But the Sabres have enough assets that could be included without adding a Savoie or Kulich to a trade for him.

Also looks like Cozens got a nice $7m extension. Gotta make sure you pay Power then add assets.

Funny, Cozens extension doesn't even get us to the floor next year.

As a Sabres fan, you’re gonna have some of my fellow fans coming in here saying “we won’t give up Kulich”
Idk where they’re getting that narrative from though
It’s just made up

Surely we’d like to keep him (and Savoie, and all of our other best prospects), but we’re gonna have to part with someone we don’t want to most likely
Especially considering we’d have to beat out whatever offers NyR & Jersey are making

You’re proposal is fair, & in the ballpark of what a realistic deal would look like imo
And while I’d hate to lose Kulich, I’d still do this deal
Nice job sir

Thanks man. User name checks out, feeling the love from BUF lol.

Yep, it's always going to be a high risk, high reward type of trade when there's an elite player on the table.

I did just see another trade proposal made by a Leafs fan that i thought made sense as well:
Ostlund, Ryan Johnson, 1st, 2nd

If you’re unaware about Ryan Johnson,
he’s a LH defenseman we chose at the end of the 1st round a few years ago
Supposedly, he might not sign with us bc he’d be buried on the left side behind Samuelsson & Power, and stuck on the 3rd pair (at best) here
If he chose not to sign with you guys, you’d get a conditional 2nd for him walking to free agency

I think both him & Portillo (who also supposedly doesn’t wanna sign bc of the young talent we have ahead of him) could be nice adds for you guys
I don’t really see a reason they wouldn’t wanna sign with you,
unless they really just wanna explore all that’s out there as UFAs
