Don't put any faith in this. The Avs want young LHD. Hamonic is more of what they already have. Plus, one has to believe that is not enough to get Duchene.

Duchene had a horrible year. Hamonic had a horrible year. No one will know who wins this trade for quite some time.

I know COL fans (and Sakic) were expecting more, but did it occur to anyone that there might be reasons for why no one bit on Sakic's asking price last season? And that those reasons might explain why Duchene's asking price is less than you might think it is?

Personally if Sakic is looking for Hamonic, I really can't see this trade going through. I can see the Isles adding a little bit like a pick or a prospect but honestly without trying to be bias towards either guy Hamonic was easily one of the top defensive defensemen in the league until last years blunder and Duchene don't get me wrong is a fantastic player, but he's also been tailing off for the last 3 years production wise (55, 59, 41) after almost being a PPG player in 2014.
So do I think this trade goes through? No
Do I think this trade is A LOT more closer than people think? Yup

Don't put any faith in Pierre-Luc Dubois panning out into a top 6 forward
