Description

Kane and Toews become legends in MIN after booting them from the playoffs all those years. Very slim chance one of them would waive to come to MIN, but fun to think of them both going for it together one last time.

MIN opens up $4.7M for 23-24 and sends Hartman back to Chicago as a veteran to help lead their rebuild. Beckman gives CHI a lot of potential scoring punch. Greenway is a big forward that could find his game more in a bigger city and bigger role.

Unless those two come with reasonable contract extensions this move would completely destroy the Wild for sooooo many years to come.

But definitely would be cool to see

I would aim to keep Hartman because of his contract and term maybe include Gaudreau instead or find a dumba trade first

If MIN can hold on to a playoff spot, this would probably give them the best chance to win with rentals. Giving up a 1st (2 if they win the Cup) would be worth it for one year. Still have Addison (And top prospects) that you could recoup assents for in the off-season if you’d rather have picks in this year’s draft.

You could sign Gaudreau for the same or less than Hartman and gives you the same production (maybe more?). Trading Dumba means nothing if you don’t find another RHD for this year. I’d love to get rid of Dumba, but he’s here the rest of the season and MIN gets nothing for him

Without a doubt it gives them the best shot at the cup but I don't think this team beats Dallas or Winnipeg out of the West or anyone in the top 4 in the East so to me its too big of a hill to climb. If they do anything they should be setting up for next year to make a deep push without getting rid of too much.
