O'Reilly is still out with a foot injury. No telling what he's going to look like after he returns either. Dallas isn't trading their best prospect for 3 months of a guy that could very well be dealing with lingering injury issues the rest of the season.

Also, with Pavelski, Benn, Seguin, Johnston, Hintz, and Dellandrea, Dallas has plenty of Center options in their top-9. If they're in the market for a forward, it's likely going to be a winger to throw on their 2nd line next to Benn and Johnston
