Why even take Gadjovich. He isn't waivers exempt.

Kane gets to decide where he wants to be dealt. The team he will waive to holds all the cards. Why would a team offer more than a 1st?

Doesn't matter. The asking price already considers those variables. You don't get to use the same coupon twice on the same purchase.

Even if this is the case, why do the Hawks include Lafferty in this trade? That package of players from the Leafs would be of little interest to the Hawks. They certainly don't get Lafferty. Take out Lafferty and the 4 players on the Leafs side, and support your own position. Kane for a 1st.

Kane decides where, Hawks decide IF. As a Hawks fan, I wouldn't be upset if Hawks turn down this offer and Kane leaves as ufa for nothing.

I checked the CBA. it does not say if you can't get full value for a player you have to offer him to Toronto for 10 cents on the dollar. You would not know that looking at Cap friendly
