Description
I think with the "young Guns" in the minorrs this season they can put them up next year. I assume Kylington will be back but at least a 3rd pair guy. Hanifin ist the one man out because he is the one they can cash in, play stable and is on a team frinendly contract. So it would be easy to move.

Back's @ the 4th line is tought but if they give Zary a look in the NHL it must be at least on the 4th. he's not a C for the 4th line. Trade Backs isn't a oppion for me. He has done everithing for this organisation and could resign on a team friendly contract at the end of the season

So that's how I', as a Swiss guy would probably do it... I know it's not perfect but could work if the lines "click" from the beginning. I tryed to split up the newbies on different Lines because of the way Pelts working with Kadri and Hubby.

I would be happy with 1st and a 2nd but in this years draft. But given the fact, that Bostens pic will be late ones I see your point. Thx for the hint.
what do you think about the yungsters? to much of them promoted or are they ready to go?

Phillips is a UFA after this season, Gilbert should not be anywhere near the line up

This isn’t far from that. Boston gave a first, two seconds, and a prospect, but it was also taking a multi-year cap dump and had full retention.

This is a 1st and a 3rd, it's a minimum a 2nd and a decent prospect off

So Hanifin at 50% retained for something like

Mike Reilly
Jakob Zboril
2023 1st
2025 2nd
2026 2nd
DefenseFirst liked this.

I always kind of thought about the trade as a first and Vaakainanen for lindholm, a 2nd for the retention, and a 2nd for taking more.

Like i said, i don’t think this is far from the lindholm return.

I would definitely prefer to keep him but that's probably not far off by the end of the day

If Boston could lock him up to an 8yr deal like they did Lindholm, I do it in a heartbeat
