For that package? No

Realistic destination? Yes

But how many players have been linked to Toronto only for them to end up shunning them in the end

As a Leafs fan I don't like this trade. Giving up a 1st rounder and a top prospect for a guy who's likely a pure rental whose play has fallen off hard this year.

I think it's an overpayment and I don't think the Leafs make that deal. I think they'd need to lower the prospect from one of their best prospect in Niemela to a good prospect in a guy like Ty Voit

WDYM for that package, no???? That's the Leafs top defensive prospect and a 2023 1rst. That package is an overpay from the Leafs perspective and getting a small winger is not what they need

Small Winger you think that matters? You'd think think that you'd learn after the recent success of players like Debrincat and Johnny hockey that they're still very effective. Also Kane has been dominiate for over a decade even at his height so i don't understand your point.

Which shows how mid tier the leafs prospect pool is without Knies, nothing great but nothing bad

Holl doesn’t have much value and Kerfoot is a rental and we’re not trading for those, we’re the ones trading them

My point is that the Leafs have a ton of small and fast skaters so it wouldn't be a fit from that perspective. But, to add on their third and arguably fourth most valuable assets that isn't playing in the NHL is not worth it

But this isn't what the Leafs need though, I would much rather go after an ROR than a Kane
