Nah, meyers was a highly sought after undrafted college free agent. Avs aren’t trading him after 30 games. That’s how they make sure they never get another ncaa ufa signing

Signing Gambrell to a one-way contract is one of the reasons Dorion shouldn't be a NHL GM

This move is useless for both teams, worse for AVs since Meyers is younger and could end up being a more impactful player
