Description

Boeser trade happens in the off-season. A 2nd round pick and Addison may be too high, but could be needed for two years of salary retention.

Addison expects more than MIN can pay even with his “needs work” defense.

Get Greenway and Goligoski off the books and bring in Guerin type defenseman in Seeler.

Foligno, Merrill, or Hartman could be moved to make more cap room or create roster spots.

Salaries for RFAs and UFAs are certainly debatable.

He’ll be a 33 year old defenseman. His time for term and $ is gone, especially during this flat cap. In this scenario, he’ll be wanting to play close to friends and family. Also, I did specify that the UFA contracts were debatable.

PHI looks finally ready to concede to some sort of rebuild. An aging defenseman, another 3rd line F, and a 5th round pick would be a massively disappointing return….so Chuck Fletcher like accepts….

GMs don't care that he will be 33 yo, he is effective on a top 4 + being a righty. Teams always overpay in real life, I understand you wouldn't do it on video games but this is real life
The cap is going up in 2024-25, so the flat cap era will be over soon
