Brock Faber was the essential element in the Kevin Fiala trade. I don't think that Minnesota would trade their local boy for Boeser even up. Last season he was the Big Ten defensive defender of the year.

Boeser is also a local boy. I think we would be open to moving Faber to get a scorer the Wild have good D prospect depth but there is no way we can afford Boeser's contract for the next two years if we could we would have just kept Fiala...
