As you can see I didn't put a value on anyone because I'm not a GM. I think Carlson's value will be interesting as I don't think anyone know what the caps are going to do this off season. Since the leafs really only have forwards to give up they would probably have to deal a winger or Bozak as part of a big package

That's too much for Dumba, and not enough for Spurgeon... sarcasm

I tend to think there is going to be a serious market correction coming for some of these suggested available Dmen! It will depend on several factors, but most of the listed players are likely to be considered solid 3/4's with some of them having some PP or PK potential! Some may not have a fit on their current teams, due to expansion protection, salary cap demands, depth charts, and/or performance issues! Generally and I know I'm in the minority, I feel that all it is going to take is a high end prospect, and a 1st or 2nd round pick! In some cases the prospect might be replaced or supplemented by a young player off the roster! So in terms of Carlson, who might be a good fit with the Leafs I might offer: Leipsic, Carrick, and a 2018 second! Sub Leivo, or Soshnikov in for any one of the described parts!

The caps will make one more run. Rumors already that they are resigning Oshie. Lose Alzner, Shatty on D, but perhaps some trades are made to replace them. Caps are still in great position. Great goalie, top winger in the world, Backstrom and a strong lower 6 f this team can still win a cup. I don't think Carlson goes anywhere.

The said they would like to sign Oshie and that there is a good chance of that if the cap goes to 77 mill. We just heard that the cap is more likely to stay at 73 mill

It really doesn't matter, at least half of the players listed would cost Tor one of their untouchables.
Tor's prospect pool took a hit with everyone that moved to the NHL last season. What's left are guy that most teams have similar prospects already within their systems. A mid 1st isn't that interesting this year.
JVR and Komarov are probably the most expendable NHL players Tor has, and they only have the value of a rental.

What is your point? These aren't done deals, simple different right hand shot D options. Neither of us have any say over what happens and no very little about the worth of players

If you're thinking realistic trade partners you could probably add Savard, Tanev, and Hamilton to this list. Though I don't necessarily agree with acquiring any of them.

Yeah I should have added Savard to this list. Both Calgary and Vancouver have said they aren't trading Hamilton or Tanev so I left them off the list
