Your not the first and certainly wont be the last. But where is Danial Sprong? Arch? 2.5 for Kunitz seems a lil steep. Dumo is getting WAY more than 1.2. Schultzis prob getting more than 3.2 as well

Pens aren't my favourite team, so idk how accurate it is. CapFriendly has Sprong listed as a RW, and RW only, and I don't see Arch or Sprong moving above the experience of Rowney, Kuhnhackl and Rust, let alone Hornqvist or Kessel. While Schultz might, I don't see Dumoulin getting a huge raise. I'd bet that most of these players do want to stay together, and that will require taking a pay cut. Which many players are willing to do to stay on winning teams that seem to have a good locker room environment. This is already with having to let go of Hagelin, Fleury, Bonino, and Daley. Rutherford can get these done. Kunits is still a 30 point guy with a lot of experience (plus works well with Crosby) and after dealing with RFAs and moving out Hagelin, it seems very likely Kunitz will be brought back as that was the only one forward spot missing a player. 2.5M is the perfect value for such a player and a steal compared to some others who make more money for a lesser player around the league.

He's 4M for another 2 years. If he had played all 82 games in the season, he was only on pace for at best 30 points. 1 of his 2 points in the playoffs was an empty netter. Rutherford is gonna be trying to clear cap space. Hagelin is the easiest move that could make a lot of space while having the least impact on the team.
